Garden Hell to Garden Heaven
When Mr & Mrs Fairman-Smith moved into their dream home, it was perfect. They knew instantly they’d picked the right house.
They simply couldn’t wait to get the renovations on the go and turn their new home from a tired blank canvas to their version of a modern-day masterpiece.
Well, that is until they went outside to really get a good look at the garden.
You see, a potential accident that could lead to a trip to the hospital left them feeling that awful sense of dread that hit them right in the gut.
Had they bought the house of their dreams and the garden of their nightmares?
While the garden had all the space they were looking for, it also came with some far more undesirable traits too.
The front driveway was set on a steep slope, leaving entry and exit to the house difficult. And a closer look to the rear of the garden showed them a rotting timber decking area that was looking more like it could cause their young daughter some serious harm, than an area for her to make magical memories in.
So they decided to put the house’s interior renovations on hold for a short while, and turn their attention to making the garden a safe and desirable open space fit for the whole family to use.
When it came to the design, we split the garden into four main areas.
We started by flattening the sloped area and making it more useful. Added an outdoor kitchen area with pizza oven and a built-in BBQ.
Then a two-tiered section complete with patio area/prosecco lounge and hot tub separated with a glass balustrade covered by sun sails. And a cosy fire pit with built-in seating that can be lit at night.
The best part – While Mr & Mrs Fairman-Smith admitted we weren’t the first company they got in touch with–they realised that due to the size of the project–they had picked the right company that had the team with the skills and expertise to leave them with a finished article they were overjoyed with.
