You may have seen snippets of this garden in the national newspapers and going viral on social media… because our Leicestershire-based client and professional sports personality wanted to update his new home in line with his lifestyle.
The brief was simple…
“Create me something wow…”
So, wow is what we did.

We provided a garden complete with an onsite 5G football pitch and goals, heated swimming pool, garden kitchen, garden bar, and outdoor entertainment centre that matches the style of James Maddison’s house.
It all started by removing tall, mature shrubs, and pushing back the main patio area making more room to design all the features our client wanted. We replaced the original dark paving with a bright, contemporary, smooth porcelain in larger slabs for a sleek and fresh look.
As the garden originally sloped upwards we flattening out the ground and that allowed the pool to have terracing areas through the design. Using the heights we built in a sunken gas-powered fire pit surrounded by built in seating and artificial hedging for a cosy feel.
From the fire pit, steps lead up onto a dedicated cooking and dining area, complete with a built-in worktop fitted with a sink and gas BBQ, ideal for entertaining. Covering the kitchen area and to add height to the new patio terrace, a steel louvered pergola provides shade and protection where it’s needed the most.
The light, bright porcelain paving adds a touch of luxury throughout the entire space and accent lighting carries this garden from day to night with a subtle glow. While a glass balustrade divides the garden’s zones, the views are still uninterrupted.
In the back section of the garden, the old lawn space was excavated to install pitch-grade artificial turf with our client’s own personal branding. Sleeper walls retained the original level of the land containing the football pitch in its own dedicated area.

The new design created several different seating areas to relax and enjoy the garden or to accompany large groups of friends. Our client loves his new garden as he’ll be able to spend many sunny days enjoying the pool and entertaining his friends and family without the pressure of high-maintenance lawns and flower beds.
