Our Leicestershire-based clients wanted to make better use of their unique surroundings. Their home was a stunning period property, but their garden had fallen into disrepair. With so much potential they desired a space to capture the character of their home and to utilise an ample courtyard area for entertaining.
Combining colours and textures make this space special. Refreshing dark and tired stone with light, textured sandstone paving instantly brightens the garden, complementing the red brick walls throughout the space. The main area of this timeless design focuses on an all-inclusive entertaining area.
The introduction of a timber shelter covers a bespoke outdoor kitchen and bar. Built alongside, a sweeping brick seating area creates a cosy spot around a fire pit. Informal borders throughout the courtyard space focus on colourful, cottage style planting, softening the hard edges of the patio. Further around the garden, a flat lawn and a children’s area tucked under mature trees provides a safe space for play.
