The Problem: Limited Space to Relax
Our Leicestershire-based clients were fed up tackling their mossy lawn. With no back garden, some element of privacy was required to allow them to enjoy their garden space. And with small grandchildren, they needed a safe, low maintenance design.
Our Solution
The property had an interesting history and is part of a grade II listed conversion. Encompassing the beautiful character, the design used traditional limestone paving in a free form shape to soften the L shaped space. Although a small garden, the surrounding properties were vast. Timber archways and a pergola creates a sense of balance and introduces additional interest and opportunities for climbing fragrant plants to grow.
This pocket-sized patch packs a punch. With fully integrated lighting and a simple water feature, it’s the little details in this garden that capture the character of the home. And with mostly evergreen planting and artificial lawn, it’s easy to maintain and looks great all year round.
The Final Result
The use of traditional materials and buff colours ensures that this new garden complements the older property. A perfectly lush, artificial lawn fixes the hassle of moss spoiling the look. Fully accessible and versatile, it’s a space both adults and children can enjoy.
