A Sneak Peak

The key theme this year is reconnecting with nature and the beauty of the natural world, which is great to see! The show is beginning to take on a more relatable and eco-friendly approach than in recent years.

M&G Investments who are the sponsors for the show have appointed seven-time gold medal-winning Andy Sturgeon to create this year’s show garden. Celebrating woodland, we can expect to see lots of lush green, young trees, water and a multitude of textures.

IKEA have made their way into the landscaping industry this year with their ‘Gardening Will Save The World’ show garden. Divided into two levels, the garden explores the contracts of supernatural and technological to explore the future of growing.

On a smaller scale, the Artisan Gardens always demonstrate traditional design and craft skill by contemporary approaches. Often considered most relevant to the majority of visitors due to their size. The Walker’s Forgotten Quarry garden will display redundant industrial features that have been taken over by nature with lots of textural foliage and red rust, it will capture the industrial atmosphere while showcasing elements most of us will relate to.
